Born
and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Alan has been dancing since he was
13, when he started popping, waving and gliding. In 2005, he began
working professionally as a choreographer with award-winning
performance groups in the Midwest. He has worked under choreographers
such as Jordana Toback, Pavan Thimmaiah, Tina Vasquez, Tara Tober, and
participated in the Masterclass Camp at Valparaiso University in the
summer of 2005.
During his time as an undergrad at New York
University, he participated in many dance groups, such as Dancer’s
Choreographer’s Alliance, IFA Dance Team, and Co-founded E.P.I.C.
Motion Dance Company. As one of the captains and choreographers of
IFA Dance Team, Alan along with his fellow captains helped the group
consistently place in dance competitions around the Tri-State Area.
Currently Alan is an integral member of Part-Time Models Crew and What
The Funk Popping Crew as he studies for his M.A. in Performing Arts
Administration at NYU Steinhardt.
Alan
joined up with PMT in Fall 2005 and has since performed and
choreographed in the PMT Seasonal Showcases. He is a member of PMT
Dance Company and has performed in various venues with the company,
including the CNE in Toronto, Canada, the International Dance Festival
in New York City, and the company’s own show “Struck” in 2008. He has
performed live with recording artist's Matt Palmer and was recently
featured in his music video "I Wish." Alan's abilities have allowed
him to work with Superfly Productions, JetBlue, MTV's Party for the
People and POON Productions, just to name a few. Alan has
taught Hip Hop at NYU, New York Public Schools, Legacy Dance
