Janelle Young Hip Hop Dance
Hailing from Connecticut, Janelle Young came to New York City to pursue music business and choreography at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study of New York University. After obtaining her bachelor's degree, Janelle began to seek training at PMT Dance Studio as her primary studio and also taking classes within the city. With her extensive knowledge and experience in the music industry she was able to work with such artists as Lil Flip, Busta Rhymes, Shanelle, Young B and Juelz Santana. In addition to performing with those artists, Janelle has also performed at various PMT showcases from 2005 to the present and also at Alvin Ailey and BAM. Janelle has taught many classes at NYU, Williamsburg Collegiate, Uncommon Charter Highschool, SCAN La Isla Del Barrio, Queensboro Community College and now PMT dance Studio. Her mastery is in Hip Hop and Stepping and she believes that in teaching she can help share the love she has for dance with others. Her philosophy in life and in dance is " I am not to be understood, I am meant to be experienced", and taking part of a class with her is your only way to do so.
