LORENA COBOS • STREET JAZZ

Lorena Cobos, a Bronx native, finds her voice through movement.  After studying dance at Hofstra University, she went on to pursue a career as an artist, educator and choreographer. Her movement quality pulls from her training of various dance styles, such as: jazz, modern, contemporary, latin, and hip-hop foundation. Her credits include: Humans Collective, Rhapsody En Dance (Guest Artist), J9 Dance: Choreographer's Carnival, BeautyCon, Milford Literary Festival, WiseFruit Series, and Camille Trust’s “Lose You” and “Freak” music videos. She continues to enjoy exploring different realms of her movement to share with the world. 

 

Lorena is elated to be part of the PMT family. 

Class Description:

Class is structured to begin with a mobility warmup and grooves followed by a choreography section. Lorena will be focusing on textures, dynamics, execution and musicality within the sequencing of steps. In her approach, she intends to bring out joy and individuality during the learning process. The goal of each class is to create a safe space for self-discovery through movement with support and good energy.
