Scott Foxx received his training from several preparatory schools throughout the country, including the Virginia School of the Arts, Interlochen Arts Academy, Richmond Ballet and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In addition to graduating from the aforementioned schools, Scott has worked with Arthur Mitchell, Marina Eglevsky, and RickMcCullough. During this time he appeared in many ballet performances such as Petrushka, Holberg Suite, Stars and Stripes, Nutcracker and Sinfonietta re-staged by Susan McCullough.


Scott began his professional career at Southwest Virginia Ballet where he performed several dancing roles under Terri Post (Former Boston Ballet dancer.) He also performed in Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Coppélia.

After leaving the company, Scott joined Boca Ballet Theater in Boca Raton, Florida. He was part of the original cast to perform Christopher Fleming’s “Play Ball”. Scott was a part of the company ensemble. He also performed on Carnival Cruise lines before becoming involved and recognized with VEE Corporation Touring show. He spent 5 seasons touring with this company as a principal Dancer. He held many company auditions and became Performance Director during his last season with the show. Scott started his new adventure working with some of the top Broadway shows under Local 764 which included “ Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, Wicked, Rock of Ages, The Lion King and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Currently, Scott teaches at acclaimed schools around Manhattan. Scott holds a New York State License for proprietary schools. He has taught in the Jazz program, Youth Ballet Program, Adult Ballet Program, and Master Classes for Joffrey Ballet School NYC. Scott re-stages “Nutcracker Battle Scene” for the school and choreographs for Joffrey’s production of “Alice in Wonderland”.

In his spare time, Scott ran his own company of 6 dancers with “James D. Dance Theater” (In honor of his late younger Brother, J.D.) also known as SAF Dance. The fairly new company is located in Bowie, Maryland where he took a brief leave of absence to pursue his career in New

Class Description

This class is recommended a supplement to dancers taking additional dance in Ballet, Jazz or Hip Hop. The Class will focus on personal growth in strength and flexibility. This specialized class is a way to better your technique when executing basic Jumps, center Jumps and Turns. There is a strong emphasis on proper execution of various turns, leaps and jumps. This is an open level class offering skills to multiple levels and styles of dance from classic Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary dance. This class is sure to give every one a challenge and the knowledge on a personal level.
