Shauna Sloms, a NYC-based professional artist and dancer, offers a rich blend of performance experience and dedicated teaching prowess. Trained from the age of 3, Shauna's extensive background includes intensive studies with prestigious institutions like the Pennsylvania Ballet and University of South Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Ballet and Communications. A performer with the American Swiss Ballet Company and a guest artist with the Tampa City Ballet, she has showcased her talents on both national and international stages, including the renowned Spoleto Festival USA. Now teaching at Luna Performing Arts in Tribeca and holding a National Certified Personal Trainer recognition, Shauna combines her extensive performance background with a passionate, insightful approach to guiding new dancers on their own artistic journeys.

Beginner Ballet: Embark on a graceful journey into the world of ballet with our Beginner Ballet Class, designed specifically for individuals new to ballet. Under Shauna's expert guidance, learn the fundamental techniques of classical ballet—including a mix of Vagonova, Cecchetti, Cuban, and Balanchine styles—while improving your strength, flexibility, and coordination through barre exercises, center work, and simple choreography. Whether you're seeking improved posture, newfound confidence, or the sheer joy of dance, this welcoming and supportive environment will leave you with a solid understanding of ballet's core concepts and ready for your next step in the dance world.    

 

1-Hour Ballet Barre: Embark on a transformative journey into the world of ballet with Shauna in this 1-hour Ballet Barre class, where no dance background is required. Through structured lessons, learn the fundamental techniques of ballet—including the elegant styles of Vagonova, Cecchetti, Cuban, and Balanchine—while enhancing your strength, flexibility, and coordination at the barre. Whether your goal is to improve posture, gain confidence, or embrace the joy and artistry of ballet, this welcoming class will guide you towards a solid understanding of ballet's core concepts and help you sculpt a graceful ballerina physique.
