SOPHIA MARRAPODI • HEELS
Sophia is originally from Hollywood/Miami, Florida. . During her time there she worked with Flo Rida, Red Rat, Guop Boys, Pitbull and performed with T-Vice. Her new home is in New York City where she is continuing to follow her dancer dreams. She was able to choreograph aspiring artists videos and was also a dancer in Kat Deluna's - Drop it low, as well as working with 50 Cent on the show "Power" and had the chance to work with Ginuwine in a live play off-broadway to have later been aired on Bravo.
Loving to perform, Sophia lives her dream of dancing for Kiesza in Las Vegas and back-up dancer for Soave, 80s freestyle singer with performances at Radio City Music Hall. Sophia teaches at many studios in New York City as well as internationally , teaching dance workshops in Milan, Florence, Biella, Ancona and Turin in Italy. She absolutely loves to dance - anytime she gets the chance to do it, she lights up! Her love for dance and performance is as strong as her love for people.
She considers herself a perpetual student and trains in all style of dance. Not only is Sophia a performer and choreographer, as she prides herself in being a versatile dancer, she specializes in vogue, popping and heels.
Class Description
Heels is a style of dance that combines elements of hip hop, contemporary, and jazz dance which is danced in high heels. Starting with a warm-up and stretch, followed by Heel techniques to find our balance and recognizing weight is placed in the right places.. ... In this class you will learn choreography in Heels, which will include the basics and techniques of walking and moving in a heel.
