KAITLYN DEE SNYDER
Contemporary Dance

Originally from Wilmington, NC, Kaitlyn Dee Snyder is a dancer and teacher currently based in New York City. She has received training from Marymount Manhattan College, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Steps on Broadway training programs. Since moving to the city, she has taught classes at Broadway Dance Center and is a teacher assistant at both Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. Kaitlyn performs for several NYC companies including Animus Movement and BEings Dance and for choreographers such as Julie Carter, Emily Bufferd, Rebecca Allen, and Mica Butnar. She has choreographed several contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and tap pieces and was an assistant choreographer for Peridance’s International Program and Steps on Broadway Youth Programs. Kaitlyn continues to share her passion for dance with her students.
Class Description
In her class, Kaitlyn focuses on creating a safe and inclusive environment for dancers to learn and grow. The class begins with a technical warm up that educates dancers on proper alignment for safe movement. This is then followed by a combination focusing on musicality and movement quality. She encourages dancers to find both freedom and individuality in their movement.
